Prevent Exercise Induced Asthma

Exercise and asthmatic symptoms for many asthma sufferers cannot be separated. All types of exertion such as playing sport, exercising or even brisk walking or running can trigger asthma. The medical community has even coined the name Exercise Induced Asthma to describe it.

Exercise is very important for everybody especially asthmatics. Sufferers will often find that their asthma is often improved when they are regularly undertaking exercise.
When partaking in exercise, carbon dioxide levels increase along with hydrogen ions which stimulates your breathing rate to expel the excess CO2. It is not a lack of oxygen that creates the increase in breathing rate rather the increase in CO2. When CO2 levels decrease so does the breathing rate. It's normal for this chain of events to occur, more oxygen is required by our muscles during exercise. But this is when many asthmatic sufferers experience problems. Problems occur because often breathing becomes out of control and hyperventilation can easily occur.

The reason why you will experience an asthma attack whilst exercising is because you are hyperventilating. Therefore the key is to control your breathing, more specifically control your carbon dioxide levels.

It 's a good idea to important to warm up your breathing before you exercise and gradually build up intensity. Let your body build up carbon dioxide levels slowly and don't go all out from the start will ensure you don't have an asthma attack when exercising.

The Second Wind

Asthma sufferers won't have high levels of carbon dioxide within their lungs to cope for very long exercising. Because their levels are so low to begin, when their level of CO2 is further decreased as in when over-breathing and expelling it, the lungs will start to narrow in defence.
If they can go through the first stages of exercise, your body will start to produce and store more CO2 and consequently open up your airways. The Second Windas it is often called. That is when about 15 minutes after beginning exercise, the body is producing enough carbon dioxide to keep airways open allowing for much easier breathing. You can exercise as if you are on steroids, and technically you are and it's your body's natural one.

Another important thing to remember is to breathe through your nose when exercising just as you should at any time. The nose is acts like a filter and an air-con for your lungs and makes hyperventilation much harder.

Facial Peels

About Your Facial Peels

Acids and other chemical agents are being used to improve facial skin or treat skin problems by a lot of people these days. These chemicals are used in many forms of treatment, but the most popular of them all is the facial peel treatment. These treatments are cheaper than any other skin treatments being offered today. These peels are able to treat skin problems such as sun damaged skin, acne, acne scarring, wrinkles and blemishes, and it is also able to promote skin rejuvenation.

Commonly, commercial facial peels can only be used by skin experts on dermatology clinics, so if you would want to have a peel you would need to spend a little bit of cash. Today, there are facial peel products being sold that allows us to do the peels on our very home. They are as effective and safe as these commercial peels but costs much cheaper as well.

There are a lot of peels to choose from now, and each one has its own level of effectivity as well as a type of skin problem it is effective in treating. Glycolic and salicyclic peels are very effective in treating sun damage scene and moderate acne. For effective treatment of severe acne, wrinkles and blemishes, dark spots and hyper pigmentation a Jessner or TCA peel would work best for you. The type of skin that you have is also a very big factor in determining what type of peel you can use on it.

Of course peels are not the only effective and cheaper way of dealing with your acne problems. There is also natural ways of doing it like proper dieting, lifestyle change and of course natural remedies.

If you are looking for a fast though temporary relieve from acne, you can also use the popular antibiotic Accutane. Although antibiotics are expensive, you could easily go for generic ones as a cheaper option. Generic antibiotics also have the same effective materials as these popular antibiotics only that they are named differently and are not marketed that much

Wax Heater

Choosing the right heater is very important, the more confident you become in using the tools the faster the waxings can be completed.

Pot & Spatula

This is by far the most common form of heater and application method that is used throughout the industry. The wax is usually warmed inside some form of inner bucket, either a removable container that it is poured into, or in the tin that the wax is supplied in. It is then applied to the body using a spatula, usually a disposable single use wooden one. Although it can be a reusable plastic or metal spatula, though hygiene precautions need to be followed using them.
This method of application is the most versatile, it can be used to wax any part of the body and is the only method that is suited to the use of hot / non-strip waxes. And it can be used for applying wax to any part of the body. The heaters come in a variety of shapes and sizes, the most commonly found sizes are 500cc and 1000cc.
When choosing a heater you need to consider the types of waxes you want to use, and how much waxing you expect to carry out on a busy day. Personally I use two 1000cc heaters, one for strip and one for non-strip wax. The price difference between the two sizes isn't that great, and the flexibility of using the larger heater is well worth the extra spend.
If you are looking to offer non-strip waxing then you must use a separate heater, you won't have enough time to change and heat the waxes between clients. You will also find it can be beneficial to have the option to use both waxes during an appointment

Tube Waxing

Most tube waxing systems use disposable single use heads that are screwed onto a tube of the chosen wax. These tubes are then warmed in a specially adapted heater. The heads are designed to be disposed of after each client to prevent the risk of cross-infection.
The wax available for tube waxing is generally restricted to one or two per manufacturer, and you often find you can't use tubes and heads from different manufacturers together. When evaluating systems you need to look at the sizes of heads available, do they provide a larger size for the body and then smaller ones for the more intricate areas.
As with roller systems the tube can become very hot while in the heater, it is for this reason you should always use a heat protector when handling the tubes and ensure you patch test the wax temperature at regular intervals throughout the treatment. If you are a mobile therapist systems such as tube and roller waxing offer several advantages, however my personal recommendation is to use a roller system. It is more economical and offers a wider range of waxes to choose from.

Roller Wax

A lot of the wax manufacturers now offer roller versions of their leading flavours of wax. It is supplied in plastic cartridges of either 80 or 100g. These will either have a fixed head on, that cannot be removed, or you can attach reusable heads of various sizes depending on the area of the body you wish to wax.
The complete cartridge with head is placed inside the heater to warm to the appropriate temperature. There are generally two types of heater with the first being hand held where the cartridge is placed into a heater you can also use to apply the wax. This has the advantage of helping maintain the temperature, whenever you return the heater to its stand it will continue to heat the cartridge. And it is also insulated to help keep the cartridge warm.
The second type has several chambers, usually up to six, that the cartridges are placed into. You can then remove them and use to apply the wax. You have to be careful of both the cartridge and wax temperature here. You will find that when the wax is at working temperature the cartridge is too hot to hold. You therefore need to ensure that you always have an insulated holder to put the cartridge into.
When evaluating roller wax heaters I always recommend you look for one that will hold both sizes of cartridge so that if at some point in the future you wish to change the product you use the heater will accommodate it. I personally use a three chamber heater, and use the rollers for a leg waxing. I find this really helps to reduce the amount of time required to do a pair of legs. You can quickly and easily cover a large portion of the leg before removing the hair.

To Become Your Own Brain Trainer

8 Great Ways

Eat healthy

Although food is the primary supply of energy in our bodies, some are known to have a negative impact on the brain. Foods that are hard to digest are not good for your brain functionality. Also, avoids foods that you are allergic to.

Develop your intuition

We all have an inner spirit that guides us, but not everyone is able to listen to that inner instinct. Developing the ability to listen to your inner self can really help in your thinking capacity and problem solving skills.

Exercise

Doing physical exercise is one of the best ways of improving your brain performance. Your brain requires energy, and much of its energy comes from oxygen through blood. Physical exercise facilitates easy flow of blood in the brain, hence energizing it for more powerful processing.

Deep breath

Since the brain requires oxygen for energy supply, taking deep breath helps the blood to be oxygenated, and hence supplying the brain with sufficient energy. Taking some deep breath has long been used as a means of achieving relaxation.

Talk to your self

Your best friend is yourself. Taking time to meditate and reflect deeply on your life enhances your self-consciousness. Talk to yourself and ask for guidance from your inner self. Trust your intuition in making decisions and you will realize how you can never be wrong.

Enjoy Life

The best medicine you can give to a troubled mind is a smile. Enjoy life and laugh at yourself. Every time you smile or laugh, there are some energy charges that are transmitted to the brain, and believe me; they stimulate the brain.

Have sufficient sleep

Taking enough sleep gives you a perfect chance to relax your brain. Due to our busy lifestyles, it is normally difficult to find time for resting, and so, sleep gives you that chance. However, ensure that you have quality sleep rather than quantity.

Read and write

One of the best ways you can build your thinking capacity is by reading. Reading exposes you to extensive experiences in life and trains your brain to have a broader scope of thinking. Writing on the other hand exercises your brain into creating mental pictures through words.

Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are abnormal, hard, chemical deposits that form inside the kidneys. This condition also is called nephrolithiasis or urolithiasis.

Kidney stones are often as small as grains of sand and pass out of the body in urine without causing discomfort. The deposits can be the size of a pea, a marble or even larger. Some of these larger stones are too big to be flushed from the kidney. Others manage to travel into the narrow tube between the kidney and bladder (ureter), where they become trapped. Trapped kidney stones can cause many different symptoms, including extreme pain, blocked urine flow and bleeding from the walls of the urinary tract

Symptoms

Very small kidney stones may pass out of the body in the urine without causing symptoms. Larger stones may become trapped in the narrow ureter, causing severe pain in the back or side, nausea and vomiting, or blood in the urine. If there is blood in your urine, the urine may look pink, red, or brown. If the location of pain shifts downward, closer to the groin, this usually indicates that the stone has traveled downward in the ureter and is now closer to the bladder. As the stone approaches the bladder, you may feel a stronger urge to urinate or a burning sensation when urinating. When stones pass out of your body in your urine, you may see the stones exit.

Prevention

In general, you can help to prevent kidney stones by drinking plenty of fluids and avoiding dehydration. This dilutes your urine and decreases the chance that chemicals will combine to form stones.

You can prevent calcium oxalate stones by eating low-fat dairy products and other calcium-rich foods. Taking calcium supplements, however, can increase the risk of stone formation. Calcium in your diet binds oxalate inside the intestines to decrease the amount of oxalate that gets into the blood, so less spills in the urine. People who excrete too much oxalate into their urine should avoid eating foods high in oxalate, including beets, spinach, chard and rhubarb. Tea, coffee, cola, chocolate and nuts also contain oxalate, but these can be used in moderation. Eating too much salt and meat can cause more kidney stones to form.

After doctor receives an analysis of the chemical composition of your kidney stones, he or she can suggest medications or changes in your diet that will help to prevent stones from forming in the future. Because certain medications may increase the risk of stones, your doctor may want to adjust your regular medications if you have had kidney stones.

Treatment

In many cases, a trapped kidney stone eventually flushes out of the urinary tract on its own, especially if you drink plenty of fluids. With a doctor's supervision, it is likely that you can remain at home, taking pain medicine as needed until the stone dislodges and flushes away. If the stone is too large to pass on its own, if your pain is severe, or if you have infection or significant bleeding, it may be necessary for you to have your stone removed or broken into fragments that can pass more easily. Doctors have several options for destroying stones lodged in the urinary tract:

Extracorporeal lithotripsy

Shock waves applied externally break kidney stones into smaller fragments, which are then swept away in the urine stream.

Percutaneous ultrasonic lithotripsy

A narrow tubelike instrument is passed through a small incision in the back to the kidney, where ultrasound breaks up the kidney stones. The stone fragments are then removed.

Laser lithotripsy

A laser breaks up stones in the ureter. The stones then pass on their own.

Ureteroscopy

A very small telescope is inserted into the ureter and guided to the bladder. The stone is then either fragmented or removed.

It is rare that surgery is required to remove a kidney stone.

Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A is a viral infection that can inflame and damage the liver. Unlike other forms of hepatitis, hepatitis A is usually mild and does not last long. Usually spread in contaminated food or water, hepatitis A also can be passed during sexual practices that involve the anus.

Symptoms

  • Tiredness
  • Loss of appetite
  • Fever
  • Nausea
  • Tenderness in the stomach area
  • Dark, tea-colored urine
  • Yellowing of the eyes and skin (jaundice)

Prevention

  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap after handling food, after using the bathroom and before eating.
  • Buy shellfish only at reputable food stores or restaurants.
  • If you catch your own shellfish, make sure that it comes from waters inspected regularly by health authorities.
  • If you are traveling to a developing country, avoid drinking water or eating food that may be contaminated, and get vaccinated for hepatitis A before your trip.
  • Avoid injecting illegal drugs. Outbreaks of hepatitis A have been seen among intravenous drug users

Treatment

There are no drugs to treat hepatitis A. Doctors generally recommend getting bed rest, eating well-balanced meals, drinking plenty of fluids and avoiding alcoholic beverages. It is also essential to avoid medications that can be toxic to your liver, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol).
